Metro UK Greece’s first fully vegan hotel is opening in Mykonos this summer

You might not be able to travel right now but that doesn’t mean you can’t plan ahead and dream of your next trip.

And for anyone interested in cruelty-free luxury, the next place we might want to consider jetting out to is the Greek island of Mykonos which is about to open it’s first fully-vegan hotel.

Koukoumi is the first and only vegan retreat in Greece. Ranked four stars, it’s situated at the heart of the island, in the traditional village of Ano Mera.

If you want a week of partying, you might want to look elsewhere – this place is all about enjoying a more intimate side of Mykonos and enjoying a holiday that doesn’t harm animals or the environment (well, any more than your air travel there).

If you get tired of checking out Mykonos’ stunning white Cycladic architecture and beautiful beaches, the hotel has a spa, gym and pool. The spa is stocked with cruelty-free, plant-based products that all come in handmade, recyclable packaging. Oh, and all of the aromatherapy oils used come from native plants including lavender, bergamot and juniper – famed for their muscle releasing, detoxifying and uplifting properties.
