The long, sandy beach is divided into a left and a right side and has umbrellas and sunbeds, water sports, and a beach tavern. For some reason that nobody knows, the «right» side is the left. From this beach, you can walk over the rocks to the left to visit Elia beach.
Mersini Beach: Mersini is an isolated beach situated in the northeast part of Mykonos Island. It has turquoise, shallow waters, and a lovely sandy coast, which is divided into two parts by some rocks forming two different beaches. Mersini is the “next best destination” for people who seek moments of tranquility and relaxation, away from the noisy crowds of Mykonos. As an isolated beach, Mersini is not organized, which means that no umbrellas or sunbeds are available. Mersini is located 12km north of Mykonos Town. Unlike most of the beaches on the island, there are no taverns, restaurants, and bars nearby, so those who plan to visit it must have a bottle of water and a snack with them.
Tigani Beach: On the northeastern part of Mykonos you will find the beaches of Pano and Kato Tigani. They are located 14km away from Chora, in Profitis Ilias, overlooking Tragonisi, a tiny island on the Aegean Sea that has enchanting sea caves. Both Pano and Kato Tigani are secluded, surrounded by a rocky landscape with little vegetation. Their waters are blue, cold, and crystal-clear, while their coast has coarse golden sand. Elia Beach: The longest sandy beach, located 12km from Mykonos town. Elia is fully organized offering a wide choice of taverns as well as water sports facilities. It is a quiet beach unlike others (Super Paradise etc.). You may also enjoy the spectacular view of traditional Cycladic houses, located left up the hill.
Glyfadi Beach: Glyfadi is a small beach on the southwestern side of the island. It is partly sandy and partly pebbled. A quiet beach that is frequently visited by families. There are no bars or taverns on the beach, but there are few sunbeds and umbrellas. The rocks nearby are ideal for snorkeling.
